WHO ARE WE?

The International Society of Altered Book Artists is a group of artists, hobbyists, professional artists, teachers, librarians, and students, all coming together to form an international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Book Altering as an art form.

WHAT DO WE DO?
  • Educate the public about altered books
  • Develop resources for altered book exhibits
  • Build a traveling library of altered books, artists' slides, and information to mount exhibitions for galleries and institutions
  • Document, compile and encourage critical writing about altered books for gallery owners, dealers and art consultants
  • Develop a database of available teachers and speakers for workshops and symposiums
